It looks pretty decent and the concept is somewhat original. However I've been told by friends that the gameplay is really short (Think 6 hours to finish them game).

From what I've heard the graphics are really the only thing this game has going for it - it looks amazing but I'm waiting on other people to get it first.

I've seen some videos, looks nice. You can search the web for Mirror's Edge 2D. Pretty good platform game, although it's in Beta so it has only one level.
I'm just sad that it'll be on PC in January 2009 :/

That's a huge problem with all current generation games, they are just too short. Too much time invested in graphics, too little in content.

Hmm well after a bit more searching I've come across some actual gameplay videos on youtube. I get the feeling that they've stumbled across an interesting concept but failed to actually make it blend with the rest of the game and instead just pasted it onto extremely generic game scenarios. The result is pretty repetitive and bland gameplay. Examples I saw included a locked door that could only be opened by locating a specific switch somewhere else on the level and opening a locked door by destroy an arbitrary number of servers. Although the subway levels look entertaining and will probably be the most uniquely designed levels.
Enemy AI also leaves a lot to be desired, gathering their extreme hesitance to shoot and laughable accuracy, as well as their striking lack of urgency to move away when your in standing in their faces. Also despite all their protective clothing they still crumple like paper while your character can survive bullets with nothing but casual dress but now I'm just nitpicking.
The time trial mode looks interesting and will probably get the most play though.
In other news, the PC version got delayed because their introducing PhysX support to the game which looks pretty promising. A video demonstrating the engine can be found here

I just don't get it, why does it look so weird?
All the funky colors make it look like a McDonalds playground.

The game doesn't appeal to me, I get a bit of motion sickness just from watching the game play videos. Even though the game is short there is no way I could make it through without puking. Maybe if it was in 3rd person I would rent it, but since it isn't I won't.

The red colors tell you where to go during your freerunning, and its all white and clean due to the cleaning up of the city, which the game deals with.

So agree here. I'm glad I rented it first. Personally I found it really boring but to each his own I guess.

The grafics are good. The music is decent but has no WOW NICE factor.
It lacks a serious story line. And most people will get sick or finish it in 10 hours or less.
I agree with the Renter comment.
